Dr.  Junaid  Ahmad


Dr. Junaid Ahmad has a Ph. D in Finance and Policy and MA in Economics from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and MBA in Finance and International Business from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

He has over 34 years of experience in senior and top level capacities in consultancy business.  Prior to establishing National Management Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. (NMC),  Dr. Ahmad has had 12 years of experience in industry in senior and top management positions both in Canada and Pakistan. Dr. Ahmad has been providing advice on policy issues both at macro/public sector level as well as at micro/corporate level. He has been a Member of a number of high powered committees advising the Govt. of Pakistan, e.g. Budget Advisory Committee, Committee for Formulation of National Technology Policy, National Conservation Strategy, Environment Protection Council, Environmental Standards Committee, National Manpower Commission, etc.. He has been on the Boards of Directors of numerous corporations. He has been advisor to Civil Avaiation Authority, DHA Karachi, Investment Advisor to Ministry of Finance, Member National Highway Council, Advisor Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Advisor to International Islamic University Islamabad and National Academy of Performing Arts for making them financially self-sustaining. He is currently advising DHA on revival of all their Waterfront Projects.

Dr. Ahmad, during the last over 25 years has supervised preparation of large number of feasibility studies for PIDC, PSM Pak Steel, EPB, BoI, ADB, World Bank, local corporates and multinational corporations. He has been actively involved in all aspects of project implementation and development for over 200 industrial, commercial, financial, educational and health care projects. He has also been instrumental in bringing over 25 multinationals for making profitable investments in Pakistan and in transferring technology to local companies.

Dr. Ahmad has led the NMC consulting teams in most of the studies conducted by NMC. As such, he has been leading the consulting teams included those involved in Market Research and Market Studies pertaining to engineering, industrial and socio-economic sectors of Pakistan. His contribution to these studies/surveys and guidance have enabled the consulting teams to successfully complete the assignments both in quality and within required time schedule. 

As advisor to MoF, Dr. Ahmad was deeply involved in national economic, fiscal and financial policies of the Government. As such, his knowledge and experience in trade, commerce and economic relationship with other Countries was found to be instrumental in shaping many important economic and fiscal policies of the Country.

Mahboobul  Hasan


Mr. Mahboobul Hasan is a mechanical engineer from Muslim University, Aligarh (India). He brings about 42 years of experience in the fields of industrial management, heavy engineering industry, project planning and implementation and project life-cycle management - right from conception and design to erection and commissioning. Mr. Hasan has worked with prestigious organizations of the country on senior positions. He has headed the Heavy Mechanical Complex (Taxila) as Chief Executive, where he was directly involved with the manufacture and setting up of many industrial plants, e.g. sugar and cement mills, gas processing plants, chemical and fertilizer plants, etc. He has also vast experience in the organization and operational management of the industrial units. He has been involved in transfer of technology in many areas of manufacturing industry.

He has been associated with NMC since 1992 as Principal Consultant, where he has been involved in many consultancy assignments including HRD, Institutional Strengthening, Organizational rehabilitation of plants, feasibility studies, turnaround of industrial units, organization and management and environmental related projects.



Mr. Ali J. Ahmad is PhD in ‘Management and Innovation from the ‘Business School of Dublin City University’ and holds an MSc in ‘Management Research from the Said Business School of University of Oxford’ and an ‘MSc in Analysis Design and Management of Information Systems from London School of Economics’. He has over 7 years of versatile experience in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Consultancy and Academic Research. He has undertaken several pre-investment, feasibility, market and research studies in the fields of IT, academia, energy, social development, etc.

He has been associated with NMC since 2000 where he has been deeply involved in NMC’s consultancy assignments pertaining to inter alia, Tehno-economic studies, turnaround projects and rehabilitation and restructuring of industrial and business organizations both public and private sectors. He has also been associated in Public-Private Partnership projects in several Socio-economic sectors of Pakistan. 



Mr. Shahzad Mansoor Qadir is MBA of 1996 from Azad Jammu & Kashmir University, Muzaffarabad and LLB of 1992 from University of Punjab.

Mr. Shahzad Mansoor Qadir has over 13 years of practical experience in the fields of marketing. He has been actively involved as a team member of numerous assignments involving benchmark and socio-economic surveys and market feasibility studies related to various sectors. He was involved in preparation of Feasibility Study for a Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CEE) at IBA, Karachi on behalf of USAID. He also actively participated in feasibility of setting up play land / amusement parks, super tertiary hospitals in various cities.

With NMC, he has been deeply associated with NMC’s assignments for Market Research Surveys of many units of engineering and metal sectors and Market Place Analysis for HBL, UBL, Prime Bank, Union Bank and ABN AMRO. He has also been associated with major feasibility studies conducted by NMC for various public and private sector organizations which essentially involved market surveys required for preparation of Feasibility Studies.

His last two placements were secondments from National Management Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.  From July 2004 to-date, he was seconded by NMC to help set up Rapid Cargo and to operationalize the organization as Country Manager. From January, 2000 till March, 2004 he was made part of a dynamic team tasked to set up a large IT training organization to be owned and operated by NMC, APTECH Worldwide Pakistan Operations. During and prior to these two secondments, since 1997, he has been a part of NMC’s core consulting team, undertaking projects of various sizes and complexity.

Nadir Ahmad


Mr. Nadir Junaid Ahmad is M.Sc. in Financial Economics (Sept. 2009) from Cardif University, U.K. He has a total experience of about 5 years including internship with Arif Habib Management Ltd. in Research dept. He acquired major consultancy experience in National Management Consultants (NMC). Prior to joining NMC, Mr. Nadir Ahmad had served Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund from February 2010 as Management Executive in Credit and Enterprise Development Unit. With NMC, he has been associated with consultancy assignments pertaining to Financial Analysis for Askari CNG, Training Need Assessment RedR Uk, Projects Coordination and Market Evaluation of Venecia and Creek Views highrise projects at DHA, Karachi. As financial analyst, Mr. Ahmad has been involved in preparation of financial statements for various feasibility studies and development of financial models and business plans of many Project handled by NMC.  He has also been involved in compiling a book “Doing Business in Pakistan” as Project Manager.

Mr. Muhammad Adil

Associate Consultant

Mr. Muhammad Adil is MBA in Finance and MA in Economics from University of Karachi. He has also Oracle Certified Database Administrator (DBA) and as such has a good understanding of systems and financial analysis.

Mr. Adil has a total experience of about 10 years and has been associated with NMC since 2004. He has been involved in conducting numerous financial feasibility and techno-economic studies pertaining to variety of industrial and business organizations in both Public and Private sectors. His sound financial background has been most useful in conducting financial analysis and financial evaluations of consultancy assignments of NMC. Beside consultancy assignments, Mr. Adil also looks after financial, banking and corporate affairs of NMC. Some of the major assignments with which he has been associated as financial consultant/ analyst include: Pre-Feasibility Studies on different Socio-Economic sectors of Pakistan for Planning & Development Division, GoP, Financial Model for Multi Fuel for Askari CNG (A group company of Army Welfare Trust), Permanent Commercial Center of GCC Countries in Pakistan for Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), Financial Plan of Institute of Renewable Energy Technologies for Alternate Energy Development Board, Pakistan, Creek City Hospital for Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, Swede Bus Pakistan, Port District Project of Karachi Port Trust etc.
